A Day to Remember: The Success of Our 2025 Golf Tournament at Far Corner Golf Course

Our 2025 Golf Tournament at Far Corner Golf Course was nothing short of incredible—and we’re still smiling (and maybe a little sore) thinking about it.

This year marked an exciting milestone for us as we expanded to a 27-hole course, allowing more golfers to join us and significantly reduce our waiting list. Seeing so many people eager to participate and support our mission was both humbling and energizing.

The day itself was filled with everything a great tournament should be: friendly competition, lots of laughter, and a few unexpected adventures. Some teams may have temporarily gotten lost on the course, but that only added to the fun and memories. Between swings, golfers were treated to cool peppermint washcloths, a small but much-appreciated touch that helped everyone beat the heat and keep spirits high.

One of the most meaningful moments of the day was the official introduction of the Shine Her Light Foundation. We shared why this foundation exists and why we continue to tell Katie’s story—not only to honor her, but to help bring light, awareness, and support to other moms and families who need it most. The response was heartfelt and affirming, reminding us just how powerful shared stories can be.

Thanks to the generosity of our golfers, sponsors, volunteers, and supporters, we raised just under $33,000. These funds will directly benefit Marguerite’s Place and Momma’s Voices, two organizations doing vital work to support mothers and families during some of their most vulnerable moments.

We are deeply grateful to everyone who played, donated, volunteered, sponsored, or simply cheered us on. This tournament wasn’t just about golf—it was about community, compassion, and coming together to shine light where it’s needed most.
